The universal 12V to 5V iPod® cable adapter is designed to enable charging for iPod and iPhone® docking accessories that do not charge newer-generation iPod models. (Accessories that were designed to charge at 12V will not charge certain iPod models.) This adapter cable addresses this condition by converting the charging voltage to the correct value and restoring the charging feature to the accessory. iPod and iPhone not included.
